Bristol naked bike ride comes back to Bristol
One of Bristol’s most controversial events is riding back into the city tomorrow, with the world naked bike ride returning to our cities knobbly streets.
As usual the naked bike ride will be kicking off from the Full Moon in Stokes Croft. The fun begins with decorations of the body taking place from 11am with the ride starting at 12pm.
Nudity is optional with ‘as bare as you dare’ being the theme. It’s completely free to join the ride along and the whole route will take around 2 hours.
There is a reason for the naked bike ride however, it’s to raise awareness of cyclists’ right to the road and a right to safety around cars and other motor vehicles. With the event page staying; ‘We’re demanding safer, easier cycling so Bristol can be less dependent on polluting, road-clogging cars.’
For an idea of what this is like here is footage from the 2015 naked bike ride (warning, lots and lots of nudity)
